The Bally Shoes history goes back to the year of 1851. It was then that "Bally & Co" was founded by Carl Franz Bally together with his brother Fritz. Initially, they set up shoe manufacturing on the ground floor of the family house located in Schönenwerd in the Canton of Solothurn, Switzerland. But later on, the business moved to the village. As early as 1854, Fritz Bally quitted and Carl Franz kept on manufacturing footwear under the name of "C.F. Bally".

But all the same, the brand keeps flourishing in spite of share selling, the Great Depression, World War II. But in the year of 2008 Bally International AG was sold to Labelux Group Inc.
