Almost every fashion lover has in her wardrobe suede shoes. That is clear because they look stylish, chic and elegant. But the main and I think the only disadvantage of suede footwear consists in high difficulty to treat and protect them. The matter even worsens if the weather is bad – suede material does not let water and stains slip off. On the contrary, stains and water absorbed are very difficult to remove. • Prevention. It is better to prevent shoes from dirtying than cleaning them afterwards. For preventing water absorbing use special sprays. It works very simple: spray the surface of a shoe and let it dry out. What is more, suede shoes are far easier to clean them after them being sprayed.
• Removing off dirt. First of all, let your shoes dry out. Then take a soft dry cloth and remove excess dirt from a shoe. Only after that you may get it cleaned further.
• Use eraser and brush. If a shoe is covered with tough stains, it is advisable to use a rubber or suede eraser. For scuff marks removing use suede brush. It works easily, just rub an eraser or brush up and down until stains disappear.
• Water and oil stains. Water stains are difficult to remove with a brush. Water the whole surface, and dry it with a brush. Then you will need a soft dry cloth to absorb excess water. For oil stains use a brush and warm water. Rub the stain until it disappears. Then dry it the same way. By the way, while drying suede shoes, put on stretchers or paper inside to prevent then from deformation.
