Four Main Shoe Shopping Rules
When you understand, that you need a new pair of shoes, you rush to the shoe shop. There are many articles and pieces of advice, that can give you profound information about how to choose your shoes. But how to buy it, not over-paying much – this is the question, we are trying to give you an answer to.
#1 – Do not buy shoes in the peak of the season.
Shoes shops advertise the introduction of new collections, attract our attention with bright ads and promo-actions. Only few of us can stand the temptation of simply “going to the shop to look at the new trends”. And here we get caught by the experienced shop consultants. Remember: in the peak of the season the shoes are 30 to 60% more expensive than in the end of the season. Of course this piece of advice is not appropriate for fashion-lovers. They would even like to over-pay – only to receive the new item earlier than the others!
#2 – Buy classical models.
irst of all, all the ultra-modern novelties, even produced from the finest materials, are a level lower than classical shoes. Secondly, the classical models, as a rule, have been produced for years and decades. The technologies of their production are flawless and the sizes fit the scale perfectly. Buying these shoes, you will be absolutely sure, it will be apt in every situation and will serve you for a great amount of time.
#3 – Buy the colour, that passes you.
If you have decided for classics, do not worry about the fact, that the majority of these models should be black, brown or paloma. Do not be desperate – today the shoe-makers offer dozens of colour variations. And if you still wish to buy colourful footwear, remember the main rule: try these shoes with the clothes, you are going to wear them with. Otherwise you risk to become frustrated after buying an ultra-modern novelty, that will not pass any item of your wardrobe.
#4 – Use discount cards
If the shop consultant advices you to fill in a blank and to get a discount card – do not refuse to do it. Sometimes the card is of accumulating type and your friends and relatives will also be able to buy something with it. So, you will be able to achieve huge discounts (30-50%), and, finally, even in the peak of the season you will be able to buy the pair you like, not having to wait for the sales!
