I often wonder how designers pass ahead the time. We have just got used to the idea that spring has come, they have already worked out the first collections for Fall – Winter 2010/2011. At the Milan Fashion Week that took place not so long ago you could see some very beautiful shoe models. Among them I would name some masterpieces from Emilio Pucci.

What you tend to notice first is that shoes are very open for the season. Well, a mild climate of Italy allows wearing such kind of shoes, but should fashion lovers other countries do? Anyway, Emilio Pucci has presented a collection that is worth mentioning.

The color scheme completely corresponds to the season. There are deep blue, purple, malachite green, wine-colored, and, of course, black tints. In regard to materials used in the collection, here we can see some trends that have been at the summit the previous season. Well, it means that the designer decided to follow the most successful trends at a later date. The sandals are made of reptile leather, some models feature leather straps, others – fur detailing. I would like to drive your attention precisely to the fur inserts. It looks very unusual, elegant, and trendy. Besides, such a shoe will perfectly go with dense tights. In my opinion, it will be a good idea.

And now let’s have a good look at another trend of the season – straps. Straps have been extremely popular for several seasons now. And it is still in the centre of designers’ attention. Emilio Pucci decorated the top of his sandals with multiple thin straps. Some of them also feature small buckles as additional spice to the whole image. To my mind, the designers took into account the lifestyle of modern women who are always on the go. I am sure that each woman who loves elegance and style must have at least one pair of Gina. It is the right choice for a party, a red carpet, an evening out, and many other special events.

We have already talked about women’s attitude to shoes, and mentioned that the overwhelming majority of fashionistas unconsciously pay attention to feet first, and only then they switch over to eyes and a person himself. According to the words of a representative of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, women do not have to disclaim of beautiful shoes on high heels but they have to be more reasonable and attentive to their own health. I see that it may be difficult to resist a bargain or a must have of the season, but do not forget that an essential part of female beauty is health. So do not sacrifice it.

We have talked so many times about extraordinary shoes, the latest trends of the season and unlimited imagination of shoe designers. All of this is characteristic of designer shoes. I bet that every girl would like to have at least a pair of Louboutins, McQueens, or Donna Karan’s masterpieces, for example. The bad news is that such creations are usually cost a fortune. So, not every fashionista can afford it. Still designer shoes are in high demand and there are reasons for it. There are only several factors for the idea that designer shoes are worth every cent you pay.

The majority of designer shoes are made of first rate leather, suede, exotic skins with exquisite lace or silk inserts and trims, and sometimes even precious stones as an ornament. All of these details significantly influence the price of designer shoes. The second factor is as important as the previous one. It refers especially to hand-crafting technologies, which require money for each pair to manufacture. I can’t but mentioning designers’ talent as well. Do not you think that their work is worth extra paying? Designers’ imagination has no limits, they invent new shapes, innovative ornaments and extraordinary designs. Behind each awesome pair of shoe, there is designer’s talent and work. Only after the idea has been patented, multiple copies start to appear on the market at the lowest price possible. But behind their low price you must see uncomfortable and unsteady platforms or heels, cheap and sub-quality materials.

Actually, there are exceptions of this rule. Sometimes a cheap ballet flat results much more comfy than a trendy stiletto heel from the latest designer collection. The best way to see whether a pair of shoes is worth extra money is to try it on.

Though thinking carefully about each detail in your wardrobe and buying shoes only according to your color scheme, you will improve and diversify your image.
