S/S 2010 Extravagant Shoe Collection by Louis Vuitton

The latest shoe collection presented by a world renowned French fashion house of Louis Vuitton is pretty extravagant and artistic. I have met some people who think that the collection is ridiculous, while others admire the designer’s imagination and unique approach to style. Anyway, I can say that if you look at the collection from artistic point of view you will enjoy it because the shoes from Loius Vuitton this season are not wearable.

Another clog-sandal is made of grained calf leather in cocoa, cream and black colors. Like a previous shoe this one feature a high and steady metallic heel and swinging tassels. However, both sandals differ a lot in style. This sandal look rock-chic due to leather and brass rivets.

And now the weirdest shoes in the collection presented in the Daisy line. The Daisy thong is made of pony-styled calf leather and embellished with tassels and rivets. The designer took into account comfort adding a padded half-insock and designing a hand-finished wooden structure.

The same options were added to the Daisy closed toe mule that is adorned with metallic accessories and tufts of goat’s wool. That is what they call a fresh designer’s idea! But as for me, it does not look innovative but rather fancy, weird and ridiculous. By the way, the price for the shoes starts from $ 1000.

S/S 2010: Practic & Plain Beauty by AvrilGau

Recently I realized that we have got used to sophisticated collections that feature numerous accessories, exquisite materials and complex architectural shapes. But there is another side of beauty. It can be quite simple and practical. That is the concept of the latest shoe collection by AvrilGau.

The collection comprises of a wide range of wedges, heels and flats. Every item is feminine and elegant in its own way. You will nor see huge buckles, metallic spikes or curved heels. All of that was made up for catwalks and not meant for us – ordinary women who want to look attractive. Quiet and unobtrusive colors are perfect for those who does not like to stand out.

You can see in the pictures a series of nice wedges. They are made of leather in bright summer colors. The designers introduced into the collection one of the most successful fashion trends – straps. Straps are thin and feature small gold colored fasteners. The best thing about these wedges is a flat sole, which gives you maximum comfort and lightness.

There is also several types of heels in the line. Strappy sandals, open toes and pumps feature rectangular, middle sized and wide heel that is very steady and elegant at the same time.
My attention was driven by nice and comfy ballet flats. That is what most girls need on hot summer days. In fact, ballet flats are universal footwear that can be used both for evening parties and for picnics. What you need is to choose the right color scheme.
