Fall 2009 Trend: Peep Toe Booties
Booties are considered now the trendiest footwear. Thus famous designers continue their bold experiments with them. At first, peep toe booties appeared last fall and were called unpractical at once. But the season to come peep toe booties come into fashion. Such famous designers as Giuseppe Zanotti, Marc Jacobs Butterfly, Maison Martin Margiela present their new collections where the central place was taken by these booties. Sure, in such footwear the toes can be a bit frozen but designers made an emphasis on how sexy you will look wearing these peep toes with pipe jeans, pencil skirt or mini dress.

In fall 2009 designers offer a vast range of models on platforms or heels, with laces, thongs or cuffs. By the way, we have talked about Fall 2009 Trend: Footwear Cuffs recently. As far as material is concerned, the majority of booties will be made of leather or suede, but for manufacturing of the most chick models will be used dense silk and satin as well.

Considering a fact that there are a great number of diverse models, colors and materials, it’s not a problem to choose what to wear with such peep toes. Anyway here are some hints for fashion lovers. First of all, forget about matching the color of booties with a dress. The thing is to choose the right color combination of booties and accessories: handbag, costume jewellery or shawl. Moreover, booties will perfectly go with colored dense tights.

Booties on a platform will ideally suit a pencil skirt or magnificent flared dresses in the style of 60th. Booties made of suede look even more charming in a combination with leather or suede dresses (or dresses with leather and suede elements).

If you have chosen booties of a difficult shape, put on one-color dresses of a simple cut. Booties on a high heel will become a perfect addition for a straight dress or a puffy dress, the bottom of which consists of folds. And almost every cocktail dress will look very elegant too.

The Britney Comeback!
Britney Spears has renewed her cooperation with Candie’s footwear brand as their advertising face of Candie’s brand for its Fall footwear, clothing and accessories collection.
The artist has only recently returned from her European tour, for which she was dressed in Candie’s items head to toes. Britney even managed to feature “Radar” in her new video clip.
To be honest, the advertising posters featuring Britney Spears look somewhat bizarre and unusual, yet, they undoubtedly attract a lot of attention.
The positions in which Britney was photographed look a little ill-balanced. Besides, the posters have too much of a collage in them – it looks like the ad designers have overdone it with Photoshop a bit. The ad is also notable in the color choice – a true lot of pink in all the unexpected places – and interior elements – pink hay, a horse with pink bows, an unimaginable white and pink tent. Well, like they say, the sky is the limit to our creativity, so here we have it. To be honest, I do not think that the designers tried to created an artistic masterpiece – much rather it was an attempt to draw attention of the media and public to the brand, and make the latter stand out among the alikes.
After all Candie’s is a brand that is known to be designing simple convenient shoe models at affordable prices. The new footwear collection fully supports the tendency featuring, just like before, a lot of simple cute models perfectly fitted for everyday wear. Here you can find sandals on a cork platform with a high stable heel, gray wavy flats with a little bit of a silver sparkles to them, black peep-toe shoes that come in black and brown and can be comfortably worn with an evening dress, lively pink high-heeled sandals and a lot more.
All in all, this collection does deserve a quick glance!
Stylish Ankle Boots - Fall-Winter 2009-10
Designers continue their bold experiments with the new shapes and constructions for stylish and fashionable shoes of today. Below is a brief review of the boldest models of Fall-Winter 2009/10 footwear collections innovative in their styles and shapes.
To be honest, I don’t think that we could be surprised with architectural footwear shapes and extreme designs at this point. We have seen a lot of innovation in the previous collections, especially on account of the fact that the designers have been desperate in fighting for the attention of the media. Designers often create shoes that are even hard to walk the podium in. However, there is also another extreme point to it – sometimes the seemingly usual shoe turns out to be quite a trick. Those are exactly the shoes we will talk about here.
Sergio Rossi decided to surprise his fans with an unusual construction. The fastening in these shoes is really complicated, twining itself diagonally across the foot.
These boots from Chloe collection are locked like a prison. The designers decided that a regular zipper was not enough – they decided to supplement the closing mechanism with a couple extra straps. Can you imagine how much time it can possibly take to open and close these boots?
Dolce&Gabanna shoes made of firm netlike material that looks a little bit a like a fishing net. Although this shoe is doubtful to comfortable in wear, but it does look very sexy.
Guiseppe Zanotti peep-toe ankle boot looks slightly too light for the season. The sole in these short boots is almost entirely exposed. The surface of the ankle boot is decorated with multiple thin straps with miniature buckles – this a real jewelry work indeed, and it is handmade too.
Maison Martin Margiela half boot is notable in their unusual shape. The designer decided to unite the platform with the top of the boot.
