The season to come designers want to see an elegant and exquisite woman that has nothing to do with gloomy and rainy autumnal days. That is why they have decided to make exquisite shoes from lace. If you remember a year ago they had a similar idea but then the shoes features only inserts from lace. Now the entire surface is covered with fabulous and thin material.

It is good news for people who try to protect nature that more and more fashion designers are paying their attention to ecological issues designing eco-friendly lines of clothes, shoes, accessories and bags. Though the number of such designers is not impressive, the fact of green awareness most of them show from time to time also has an important meaning for the idea.

Manolo Blahnik Shows Green Awareness

Recently a world known and respected fashion designer Manolo Blahnik presented a new line of eco friendly shoes to celebrate the Earth Day and to support the ‘green’ idea. The line includes open toed ankle boots and comfortable flats. The ankle boots feature a high heel and a small lace. It is made of soft and elegant suede and available in two color options: in green, of course, and in classic black hue. The black version represents the Earth Night.  You cannot deny that the booties look fabulous, especially when they were exhibited with vine wrap ankle straps. The booties were inspired by the Roman Goddess of nature Flora. The soothing hues of crème and beige with different tints of green on it and in the shapes of flowers and vines doubtlessly make for a celebration. The designer believes that these flowers and motif can bring you closer to the Mother Nature.

There is an adjustable strap with a tiny metallic buckle.  The flats are a perfect variant for active summer. These shoes enable you to get the combination of cutting edge new designs with the traditional methods that are used to put these shoes together. Now we know that ‘green’ items can be trendy too.

Neon Trend for Summer 2010 by Top Designers

What feelings and thought does summer awake in you? As for me, I see summer days as the most amazing, fabulous and vivid season of the year. So it is no wonder that some fashion designers decided to transfer the idea of brightness into fashion. As a result, one of the most popular trends for summer 2010 is neon hued shoes. Let’s take a closer look at the most interesting shoe models according to my point of view.

If you need some positive thoughts choose summer version of ankle boots created by Loeffler Randall. The surface of the booties features multiple perforated holes that is essential on hot summer days as they allow the skin breathing. A bright yellow color acts like a petite lighthouse that attracts everybody’s attention.
Not the whole surface of a shoe must necessarily be neon colored, it is enough to trim a shoe with a stand out detail to create a fabulous look. At least, that is how Victor&Rolf sees the trend. His flat sandals are made in nice and quite pastel hue and only some roses on the top add neon spice and special character to the construction.

Jimmy Choo seems to enjoy the trend as well. His sandal is one of the most futuristic models within the trend. He created sandals with neon platform and heels. The combination of red, black and yellow resulted explosive. If you dare put on Jimmy Choos, you are a bold girl.

And the last bright shoe in my list is a sandal created by Nicolas Kirkwood. I love the style of the designer, and this shoe is not an exception. Its design is unusual – the designer added a partition between a heel and a sole. Besides, he created a gorgeous blend of neon green and purple. By the way purple inserts are made of python leather, which adds a zest to the sandal.
