Fall 2010 Designer Shoes Review
Though fall is not so soon and summer is in its full swing designers are thinking now about their new collections for a season to come. Most of them have already presented their novelties, so I suggest that we review the most popular and interesting of them.
![]() Raf Simons, the master of restraint, keeps on developing his concept of simple and effective design. He presented black leather, flat-heeled boots with rounded toes. These boots can be paired with pipes. If simplicity and urban comfort is for you, so that might be the right shoe for you. |

And one more time we return to the latest trend for fall 2010 – boudoir shoes that represent femininity and exquisite beauty. John Galliano at Christian Dior must have been thinking of femininity with this modern mixture of materials, when he invented these lace booties. Sexy and revealing, they confirm how beautiful a foot can look.

I cannot but mentioning Nikolas Kirkwood who designed Fall 2010 shoe collection for Rodarte. I was amazed by sandals with bands of fabric tied around the ankle, oxford style laces and heels formed to look like melting wax. The heel glows in the dark, that is why the shoe is ideal for a party.

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli who work for Valentino fashion brand let the shoes do the talking. Cream, nude pink kitten heels and candy cane red flats were trimmed with studs. The idea is quite aggressive and will be supported only by younger Valentino fans.

The shoes from Balenciaga, brogues and loafers encased in plastic, are the most extravagant, urban looking invention and the ultimate modern interpretation of a classic. The variety of materials is impressive - saran wrap, wood, styrofoam, foam. Anyway, the shoes from Balenciaga seem to be made by engineers and not by fashion designers.
Neon Trend for Summer 2010 by Top Designers
What feelings and thought does summer awake in you? As for me, I see summer days as the most amazing, fabulous and vivid season of the year. So it is no wonder that some fashion designers decided to transfer the idea of brightness into fashion. As a result, one of the most popular trends for summer 2010 is neon hued shoes. Let’s take a closer look at the most interesting shoe models according to my point of view.

If you need some positive thoughts choose summer version of ankle boots created by Loeffler Randall. The surface of the booties features multiple perforated holes that is essential on hot summer days as they allow the skin breathing. A bright yellow color acts like a petite lighthouse that attracts everybody’s attention.
Not the whole surface of a shoe must necessarily be neon colored, it is enough to trim a shoe with a stand out detail to create a fabulous look. At least, that is how Victor&Rolf sees the trend. His flat sandals are made in nice and quite pastel hue and only some roses on the top add neon spice and special character to the construction.

Jimmy Choo seems to enjoy the trend as well. His sandal is one of the most futuristic models within the trend. He created sandals with neon platform and heels. The combination of red, black and yellow resulted explosive. If you dare put on Jimmy Choos, you are a bold girl.

And the last bright shoe in my list is a sandal created by Nicolas Kirkwood. I love the style of the designer, and this shoe is not an exception. Its design is unusual – the designer added a partition between a heel and a sole. Besides, he created a gorgeous blend of neon green and purple. By the way purple inserts are made of python leather, which adds a zest to the sandal.

S/S 2010: Designer Shoes’ Review
| Though warm and sunny season of spring is not coming soon, and we have to stand cold and windy weather, shoe designers seem to have got tired of booties and boots yet and suggest that we go ahead. Personally I completely support them because I do not like cold weather at all. That is why today I offer you a list of shoe models presented at Fashion Weeks Spring – Summer 2010.

Matthew Williamson Looking at this shoe I tend to think of something beautiful and romantic. The shoes are made of silky taffeta trimmed with bows. The heel as well as a platform is covered with the same silky material. Models appearing on the stage wore skirts and pipe trousers of a similar material as the shoes are.

Roksanda Ilincic By the way, this shoe collection impressed me a lot, so let’s have a good look at it. African motives, volume feathers and high heels are the main features of the designer’s collection. Well, such footwear is not from RTW (ready to wear) line, but I would love to try it on.

Burberry Prorsum At first sight, these ankle boots remind sandals. This is an effect of unusual mixture of mat satin ribbons and a glossy upper of a bootie. The bootie features a high heel and a platform that is a part and parcel of the latest shoe trend.
