Gucci Spring 2011 Shoe Collection

One of the most famous Italian fashion and leather goods labels is doubtlessly The House of Gucci, better known as Gucci. The new collection has been designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini and entirely produced in Italy by Gucci’s suppliers. Let’s review some shoe models we can see here.

The designer was criticized a lot as she presented the collection that involved three different styles in one - a tribal, a safari, and a Russian/Gypsy gone disco. I hope you know that every collection must be created within a single style, that is why this fashion show is something different.

The Gucci designer presented footwear made of leather, suede, exotic leather and velvet. We could expect anything but not velvet. I think it is quiet an unusual material for Spring collection. Anyway, it looks pretty nice. I cannot but mentioning the color palette, it is so different and flamboyant. My personal favorite hue is emerald green, I hope you understand me.

Sigurney is Spring 2011 sandals that feature a 11 cm heel. The shoe is made from black suede with metal silver tone adornment. The price for it is $ 1,089. Another interesting shoe is Sofia. It has a high heel 11 cm high and silver tone hardware. The sandal is made from suede leather in mauve hue. It look nice, does not it?
Well, the collection is interesting, elegant and classy, but in some aspects I can agree with fashion critics. The footwear is incoherent and un-inspiring for me. This is what critics say: The cage shoes: nothing new, nothing exciting. The velvet disco shoes: nothing new, nothing inspiring.

In the 80s, Gucci had become so watered down by the style and quality of their product that they went nearly bankrupt. Tom Ford arrived and essentially saved the design house. Now that Mr. Ford is gone, I think they are headed back down that road.

As a high-fashion label that has fully embraced the need for the global market presence, Gucci has announced launching of a new male shoe collection designed for Fall – Winter 2010. I would say that the collection is bipolar. Some unorthodox sneaker styles take shape in mountaineering and leopard-inspired designs. Other styles cater to a more traditional approach with patent wing-tip brogues, ostrich skin loafers and nubuck leather boat shoes. That is what I love about this collection from Gucci, it is various, and everybody is sure to find some variant for him.

The new shoe collection includes a wide choice of moccasins, lace up shoes, slip on sneakers, hi top lace up sneakers, boots, and so on, the list is really large. 2010 Trend: Gucci Sandals

One of the most long awaited collections of the season to come is a new collection from Gucci. The brand always surprises its fans by unusual and charming designer decisions. Today I have prepared some of the shoe models presented in the collection. Most of them are really worth praising. Here you are.
2010 Trend: Gucci Sandals
This sandal features a criss-cross strap that girdles an ankle very elegantly. Python patterned straps are generously adorned with stones that add a spice to the whole image. The heel and the platform are made of bamboo. A mixture of python pattern, bamboo and stones make me think of hot and bright summer days.
Not a single shoe collection today seems not to be able to do without gladiator shoes. These gladiator sandals are just one version of the trend. What is unusual here is a zipper on the front part and a high stiletto heel that changes the whole concept of a gladiator shoe. The shoe is made in black color.
2010 Trend: Gucci Sandals
Another strappy sandal presented in the collection is made in python hue pattern style with a T shaped strap on the front. Designers added a buckle on the ankle part a nickel ring.
2010 Trend: Gucci Sandals
There is one more shoe made of bamboo I like very much. It is a sandal with a four inch heel made in python pattern style as well.

But Gucci designers did not forget about women on the go who prefer comfortable flats. You can see a thong sandal with a usual nickel ring and T shaped strap. The shoe is available in two colors – taupe and light brown leather. The sandals are perfect for a casual and relaxed holiday.

And the last offer is a super high stiletto heel in blue color. It is an awesome dress shoe for any special event.
