Christian Dior 2011 Haute Couture Shoes - Fall Collection
Christian Dior have shown off their 2011 Haute Couture Shoes at High Fashion Week that took place at the beginning of July in Paris. The show was held under the motto “Christian Dior without Galliano,” the collection itself being created under the guidance of an alternate creative director Bill Gaytten .
Bill Gaytten has been working hand in hand with John Galliano. After a sudden dismissal of the latter he was lucky to become the head of the fashion house. Let’s have a look at how the designer managed to cope with such a difficult task and consider his 2011 Haute Couture shoe collection for Fall 2011.
The new 2011 Haute Couture collection is dedicated to circus art. The theme is revealed through spectacular accessories and bright make up the models wear. In order to create an integral image, the architectural hats from Philip Tracy and “color blocking” outfits are coupled with toy-like shoes.
Haute Couture 2011 collection from Christian Dior includes “surprise sandals.” The front part of them looks quite traditionally while it was the platform that was touched by the creative designer thought. The top contrasts with a dollish heel hidden under a plastic ball and abstract triangular elements.
It seems that the creative team led by Bill Gaytten and his right hand Susanna Venegas tried to surpass John Galliano in term of crazy fashion, but if the latter was able to put craziness into elegant shapes the new Christian Dior leaders didn’t manage to achieve such a success.
