S/S 2010: Designer Shoes’ Review

Though warm and sunny season of spring is not coming soon, and we have to stand cold and windy weather, shoe designers seem to have got tired of booties and boots yet and suggest that we go ahead. Personally I completely support them because I do not like cold weather at all. That is why today I offer you a list of shoe models presented at Fashion Weeks Spring – Summer 2010.

Nicholas Kirkwood
The designer has chosen a heavy style with metal inserts and details. The shoe, designed for Rodarte brand, is made of leather that in combination with metal ornaments causes goose bumps. The rare part of the shoes features spikes, but the zest is a heel, which I would describe as a construction of screw nuts. Well, the shoes may be quite a success but, in my opinion, only the boldest girls can try them on.

Matthew Williamson
Looking at this shoe I tend to think of something beautiful and romantic. The shoes are made of silky taffeta trimmed with bows. The heel as well as a platform is covered with the same silky material. Models appearing on the stage wore skirts and pipe trousers of a similar material as the shoes are.

By the way, this shoe collection impressed me a lot, so let’s have a good look at it. African motives, volume feathers and high heels are the main features of the designer’s collection. Well, such footwear is not from RTW (ready to wear) line, but I would love to try it on.

Burberry Prorsum
At first sight, these ankle boots remind sandals. This is an effect of unusual mixture of mat satin ribbons and a glossy upper of a bootie. The bootie features a high heel and a platform that is a part and parcel of the latest shoe trend.
