Jessica Alba in Burberry Prorsum Shoes

It is only a few days since People’s Choice Award took place but the whole world of fashion is studying thoroughly results of the event. The Fashion Police have not wasted time as well, and now they present to our attention outfit of Jessica Alba. But as usual we will drive our attention to celebrity’s shoes.

It is common knowledge that celebrities have always considered trendsetters. Millions of people follow their every outfit and style, then trying to imitate it. Jessica Alba is a beautiful and successful actress, so she is one of celebrities to be pioneer and trendsetter for a whole lot of fashion lovers.

Jessica Alba in Burberry Prorsum Shoes

Thanks to her beauty and awesome outfit Jessica has driven attention of her numerous fans. The actress appeared at People’s Choice Award red carpet in Burberry Prorsum shoes from the latest collection Spring – Summer 2010. The sandals are made of bright grey leather, and feature massive platform and multiple knots. You can see knots everywhere: they girdle the ankle, go along the foot to the front part. I cannot but mentioning also a high triangle heel that adds sexy look of a modern, alluring and self-confident woman.

When I am looking at these knots I tend to think for some reason about cruise and luxurious yachts. I suppose that is because of knots that remind me fisher’s knots. Who knows what Burberry Prorsum designers had in mind creating the shoes?

Actually, the model has a huge platform, so it is the right choice for the one who loves massive platforms, and if not, that would look inappropriate. It is rather difficult to look feminine and sensual in such a model. Maybe that is why Burberry Prorsum’s designers chose Jessica to present their novelty, because her womanlike appearance cannot be spoilt.

The platform costs a fortune but according to the overwhelming majority of fashion lovers it is not worth such a sum. And what do you think?

S/S 2010: Designer Shoes’ Review

Though warm and sunny season of spring is not coming soon, and we have to stand cold and windy weather, shoe designers seem to have got tired of booties and boots yet and suggest that we go ahead. Personally I completely support them because I do not like cold weather at all. That is why today I offer you a list of shoe models presented at Fashion Weeks Spring – Summer 2010.

Nicholas Kirkwood
The designer has chosen a heavy style with metal inserts and details. The shoe, designed for Rodarte brand, is made of leather that in combination with metal ornaments causes goose bumps. The rare part of the shoes features spikes, but the zest is a heel, which I would describe as a construction of screw nuts. Well, the shoes may be quite a success but, in my opinion, only the boldest girls can try them on.

Matthew Williamson
Looking at this shoe I tend to think of something beautiful and romantic. The shoes are made of silky taffeta trimmed with bows. The heel as well as a platform is covered with the same silky material. Models appearing on the stage wore skirts and pipe trousers of a similar material as the shoes are.

Roksanda Ilincic
By the way, this shoe collection impressed me a lot, so let’s have a good look at it. African motives, volume feathers and high heels are the main features of the designer’s collection. Well, such footwear is not from RTW (ready to wear) line, but I would love to try it on.

Burberry Prorsum
At first sight, these ankle boots remind sandals. This is an effect of unusual mixture of mat satin ribbons and a glossy upper of a bootie. The bootie features a high heel and a platform that is a part and parcel of the latest shoe trend.
