However, there is always one designer who stands out of the crowd. He or she offers an audience an amazing result of a hard yet fruitful work, and all attention is focused on his works of art. This time Jean Paul Gaultier is a master whose latest collection I cannot but mentioning. In a few words, it is magic collection created under the influence of enigmatic and exquisite East. | Bright colors of Turkish shoes, amazing boots with a curved toe, motley platforms, and many-many other curious and fabulous things you could see in the collection. The models appeared at the catwalk like enigmatic princesses from oriental fairy-tails. In regard to material choice, the author decided in pro of a vast variety of texture options - patent leather, suede, stamped leather, jacquard, and so on and so forth. Yeah, with such a great variety of colors and materials and thanks to Jean Paul Gaultier’s unlimited imagination and great talent, the collection has turned into a sensation. |

My attention was driven by motley strappy sandals paired with bright hosiery. That makes me think of Japanese bold fashion trends. On the other hand, amazing boots with curved toes are a pure inspiration of the Near East. There were also presented several boots with the patterns that seem to be of antique Russian style. Now it is difficult to say if these shoes become popular among women, or maybe their design will be modified and adopted to real consumers’ needs. But I bet that some celebrity will definitely try one of these bold and bright shoe models. And now some more pictures of the collection for you to enjoy.

Must Have Shoes for Spring 2010
This spring footwear designers made a lot of suggestions about what will be popular and what will not. Finally, the spring has come and we can see with what we have in the end. After wandering multiple shops I made a conclusion that there are definitely some shoe models that can be considered must haves of Spring 2010. So let’s check out what shoes you must have in your wardrobe to fit fashion trends of the season.

And the first place goes to strappy sandals. In fact, strappy shoes have been in the center of public attention already for several seasons in a row. In spite of it, strappy footwear keeps on been one of the best choices of a new season. The secret of their popularity is in sexy and elegant look. Designers say that the more straps, the better.

The second must have shoe of the spring is the one in a Wild style. I mean exotic and safari designs. Both of them look extremely fabulous. So why not to take advantage of the trend and enjoy a pair of safari heels or exotic sandals? The overwhelming majority of exotic shoe models are made of crocodile or snake skin, while safari shoes have wild animalistic patterns. The only difficulty is to pair such shoes with an appropriate outfit. Be careful not to look excessive.

And the third trend I would like to pay your attention to is nude shoes. The trend is the new one. When such footwear was presented for the first time, the reaction was rather controversial. However, such a shoe has a magic effect to make your legs look slimmer and longer because neutral color of a shoe itself creates such a vision. To sum it up, if you long to fit fashion trends this season, you will need this or that must have model in your wardrobe. So, think it over, and go ahead.
Alexander McQueen: The Last Collection of the Master
The world of fashion has not gone through the fact that there will be no more masterpieces of the best in the area. Alexander McQueen was an example, an idol for a lot of new made designers. The master has gone but his popularity seems to be increasing from day to day. Nobody has left indifferent to his creations. At the Paris Fashion Week the last collection of the master was finally presented. It is dedicated to a rich heritage of the world culture. Check out the best moments in the pictures below.

The imagination of Alexander McQueen had no limits. Remember, for example, his Spring – Summer 2010 Collection, and compare it with what you can see now. The difference is evident. There is no techno style or futuristic ideas; the master found the inspiration in the past, in the depth of the centuries. His last collection is dedicated to Byzantine art, and specifically, on the works of Sandro Botticelli, Jean Fouquet, Stefan Lochner and other eminent artists.

Let’s have a good look at the shoes presented in the collection. Boots and booties on a high platform are trimmed with numerous gold beads. It seems that a gold stream spontaneously hardened on the platform and turned into the work of art created by nature. Heels are also gilded, besides, there is a spiral carving on the surface of the heels, which makes them look like ancient columns. Shoe décor have common gilded details with luxurious outfits of the models.

In spite of ancient theme, the shoes look very modern. Have a look at the top of the thigh-highs, it is girdled with leather straps featuring gold buckles. That looks very unique and unusual, is not it? It is a pity that the collection was only 80 per cent over when the designer died. I bet that it is worth being exposed in a museum.

The Mystery of Balenciaga Architectural Shoes
The name of Nicolas Ghesquière is known for each fashion connoisseur. The main designer of Balenciaga, he is called a guardian angel of the brand. Nicolas has been worked for Balenciaga foe over 10 years now, but his every collection is unique and impressive. The last shoe collection of the master represents a mixture of retro and futurism. In the result we can see modern and architectural shoe models.

What I noticed first of all is light spring color scheme. I was really amazed by it because the overwhelming majority of designer for some reason offer gloomy fall colors in their spring collections. Nicolas Ghesquière made his shoes bright and varicolored, which makes them stand out of the crowd. On the whole such shoes have a fresh and vanguard look.

The second detail that drives attention is that architectural heels and futuristic platforms are combined with the trends of the previous decades. Look at the nose, lacing, material – they make me think of granny’s booties. I see it as an original and vanguard idea, as a bold challenge to traditional tendency and look. Not every modern fashion designer can afford doing this. I cannot but mentioning extravagant shape of the heels. Looking at them I tend to think about kid’s construction set. They feature several layers, each one of different color. To tell the truth, I love the idea. Some shoe models are trimmed with plastic or leather details. In my point of view, the collection from Nicolas Ghesquière is ideal for spring. It will definitely have a great success.
