Phillip Lim Elegant Collection for Summer

Phillip Lim is a talented and creative designer of Asian descent whose professional growth and success in the United States is incredible. It is essential that his collections are popular not only among women but among men as well. That means a lot, I think.
Phillip Lim Elegant Collection for Summer
Today I would like to present you a collection the designer created for Summer 2010. According to fashion experts, the collection is interesting, unusual, with simplistic elegance and urban style.
The collection is presented only by high heeled shoes. The designer decided to use traditional material – leather, and he made the right choice; every shoe on the catwalk looked really breathtaking. The designer was not picky about the choice of colors either. You can see only three hues, but Phillip Lim could create a fabulous combination of red, beige and black. As a result, the shoes look super hot, like a true summer day.

The open toes are presented in two versions. The first one features a beige heel, black surface and a red sole. The design is very simple, yet awesome. Two parallel straps with small buckles add a zest to the whole image. The other open toe features elements of oxford shoes. Personally, I fell in love with these so-called oxford open toes. The exquisite lacing look perfect and embellishes the shoe.

My attention was also driven by hot strappy shoe. Yeah, straps are on the peak of popularity, so it is a must have for every fashionista.
When Phillip was 31, which was in 2004, he arrived in the New York City and invested money in a new fashion brand. I suppose a lot of fashion lovers are thankful to him for such a big step that have changed some fashion trends and brought a breath of fresh air into the industry.

Talking about footwear that can be chosen for parties I would refer this fabulous black sandal on a stiletto heel. The sandal is embellished with a satin bow at the side, sports a massive platform, a zipper at the heel part. By the way, such a zipper seems to be turning into a fashion trend lately.

My attention was driven by vivid shoe models with bright colors and exotic prints. There is no doubt that such vivid shoes will raise the mood. It is common knowledge that vivid colors can stimulate brain to more active perception of a situation and things around you. So, it is a large advantage for summer shoes to be colorful and a little bit fancy.

Some sandals have six or seven colors – yellow, pink, blue, orange, green, soft pink and so on and so forth. Leopard prints add a zest to high heeled sandals and let you feel a bit wild and exotic.
For active women there are flat sandals the design of which is unique and unusual. I especially love quiet white shoes on a flat sole with a tiny heel. They look awesome and simple at the same time.

S/S 2010 Extravagant Shoe Collection by Louis Vuitton

The latest shoe collection presented by a world renowned French fashion house of Louis Vuitton is pretty extravagant and artistic. I have met some people who think that the collection is ridiculous, while others admire the designer’s imagination and unique approach to style. Anyway, I can say that if you look at the collection from artistic point of view you will enjoy it because the shoes from Loius Vuitton this season are not wearable.

And now the weirdest shoes in the collection presented in the Daisy line. The Daisy thong is made of pony-styled calf leather and embellished with tassels and rivets. The designer took into account comfort adding a padded half-insock and designing a hand-finished wooden structure.

The same options were added to the Daisy closed toe mule that is adorned with metallic accessories and tufts of goat’s wool. That is what they call a fresh designer’s idea! But as for me, it does not look innovative but rather fancy, weird and ridiculous. By the way, the price for the shoes starts from $ 1000.
