Summer: The Right Time for Booties?

You are sure to remember the days when summer was the time when one would pack one’s boots and booties away and move on to more light and open footwear. But fashion is an uncertain lady that is inclined to changing her mind very quickly and often. That is why only a few seasons passed from those days but fashion trends and concepts have changed dramatically. Today you can see the lightest of boots and booties that are made especially for this hot season.
Summer: The Right Time for Booties?
If you have a closer look at these boots you will see that they are not actually traditional boots. This is a wonderful combination of the boots and the skimpiness of the sandals that are so required during the hot months.
Summer: The Right Time for Booties?
Among distinctive features of summer ankle boots are open toes, cuffs, laces, multiple straps, and many other traits. Depending on the style, you may find booties on high heels, wedges or flat ones. Having examined offerings in stores and girls in the street, I came to the conclusion that the most popular option is flat summer booties. And I can perfectly see the reason: summer is the most active season, so what you really need is maximum comfort.
Summer: The Right Time for Booties?
Another popular version of the ankle boots is elegant evening ones that are perfect for a party or an evening out. By the way, these were there first summer boots we had seen. The appeared for the first time on the red carpet in Hollywood and the pioneer was a fashion lover, singer and actress Lindsay Lohan. Later on, the trend was caught up by Rihanna, Rachel Bilson, Olsen twins and so on.
To tell the truth I consider these booties too warm for hot summer days, that is why I have not dared try some. And you?

Though fall is too far away, some fashionistas already think about purchasing of a novelty for the season to come. Today I present you ankle boots that represent a mixture of two styles. On the one hand, the booties designed by highly beloved and renowned Christian Louboutin represent elegance and femininity, but on the other hand, they are synonymous with urban style and modern extravagance. So , if you want to stand out that is the best option for you. Let’s take a closer look at the ankle boots that are named Armony.
Twofaced Booties by Christian Louboutin
Armony ankle boots is multifaceted footwear that combines contemporary urban looks, functionality and extravagant performance. The distinctive feature of the Armony bootie is avante-garde combination of two looks: a tall, flannel cuffed boot with leather trim and a classic bootie style. The first option is really creative and unusual. The flannel cuff features a buckle on the side to adjust it if you need. But if you prefer a classic look then remove a flannel cuff and enjoy the booties with a suit or pipes.  Just imagine that having just a pair of booties you can change your look according to your mood.

The Armony ankle boots sport a 11 cm heel, a self covered platform 3 cm high and a famous signature red leather sole. The bootie has an inside zip. A combination of grey and red is fabulous too. As I have said in the beginning, Armony is a twofaced bootie: extravagant yet classic. Both faces are united by extreme femininity and aristocratic elegance. The only disappointment is the price of the fabulous creation. The Armony ankle boot costs as much as $ 1,395. So, some fashion lovers will be obliged to refuse the idea of wearing this versatile footwear. If you are not among them, my congratulations!

Strappy Leather Booties by DKNY

When I take a look at these unusual ankle boots that are known as Antonia, some dual feelings awake in my soul. The first thought that comes to my mind is resemblance to Egyptian mummies that are completely covered with strange old bandages. But at the same time, these booties cannot be compared with gloomy and scaring mummies of Egyptian Pharaohs.  They are rather attractive and nice than odd and repulsive. Another association that comes to my mind is a birds’ nest. The reason is multiple straps look much like tree branches of a black tree.

Actually a lot can be said about these extravagant, modern looking and stylish ankle boots but let’s pass on to some details that might be of interest for you. The distinctive feature of the shoes is numerous straps that cover the entire surface of the boots interlacing chaotically. By the way, the straps are made of leather which makes the booties very practical and durable. At the heel part there are oval openings that make the shoes good for warm seasons. The toe part is opened too for additional ventilation. At the side part you can see metallic zippers that feature the logo of DKNY.

I would also like to pay your attention to the heel of the booties that is super practical and steady as it is wide enough and of average height. At the same time, it does not look too everyday and orthopedic, and does not ruin the whole image of these wonderful and stylish ankle boots.

Antonia is the best name for the booties as it means something exotic yet modern. And the last important point of the matter is the price of the ankle boots. Antonia masterpiece is available for $ 130. That is an excellent offer, is not it?

Though fall is not so soon and summer is in its full swing designers are thinking now about their new collections for a season to come. Most of them have already presented their novelties, so I suggest that we review the most popular and interesting of them.

Raf Simons, the master of restraint, keeps on developing his concept of simple and effective design. He presented black leather, flat-heeled boots with rounded toes. These boots can be paired with pipes. If simplicity and urban comfort is for you, so that might be the right shoe for you.

And one more time we return to the latest trend for fall 2010 – boudoir shoes that represent femininity and exquisite beauty. John Galliano at Christian Dior must have been thinking of femininity with this modern mixture of materials, when he invented these lace booties. Sexy and revealing, they confirm how beautiful a foot can look.
Fall 2010 Designer Shoes Review
I cannot but mentioning Nikolas Kirkwood who designed Fall 2010 shoe collection for Rodarte. I was amazed by sandals with bands of fabric tied around the ankle, oxford style laces and heels formed to look like melting wax. The heel glows in the dark, that is why the shoe is ideal for a party.
Fall 2010 Designer Shoes Review
Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli who work for Valentino fashion brand let the shoes do the talking. Cream, nude pink kitten heels and candy cane red flats were trimmed with studs. The idea is quite aggressive and will be supported only by younger Valentino fans.
Fall 2010 Designer Shoes Review
The shoes from Balenciaga, brogues and loafers encased in plastic, are the most extravagant, urban looking invention and the ultimate modern interpretation of a classic. The variety of materials is impressive - saran wrap, wood, styrofoam, foam. Anyway, the shoes from Balenciaga seem to be made by engineers and not by fashion designers.
