| Today I would like to present you a new fashion label named Geren Ford. Geren Lockhart is the Founder and Creative Director of Geren Ford. Lockhart created the brand in 2002 to fill a specific void in the market, identified from a perspective inspired by her travels. |
| The art, film, music and architecture found in the diverse and fantastic cities of the world shape her vision. By translating these influences into unique, alluring and functional garments, Lockhart’s creations seamlessly embody every woman’s wardrobe with a sense of worldly chic. |
| The latest collection presented by Geren Ford label feature a completely ready to wear style. It seems to be created especially for young, active, urban yet romantic and feminine young ladies. I suggest that we take a look at the shoes presented in the Geren Ford collection for Fall 2010. |
| The collection includes a series of ankle boots, boots and a sort of booties with open upper. The best thing is every shoe model was designed in various color versions. You can see in the pictures how different and magnificent look boots of the same design but of a different hue. |
| Amid my personal favorites are Gelen Ford Edie ankle boot, Geren Ford Farah boot and Tess booties. |
| The Edie brings a bit of Moto to the ankle boot. With dual straps that cross in the front and buckle at the exposed zip on the outer leg, we can see ourselves walking the streets of Paris already. This dreamy bootie features a 4” heel and ¾” platform in the front with a signature Geren Ford custom rivet at the heel. |
| The Farrah with its ability to be four boots in one is the Multi-tasker of boots. With its quilted stitching, 4” heel and three horizontal functioning zippers it’s a lot more than just eye candy. From knee-hi to mid-calf to ankle boot all with a single zip. |
| Inspired by Melanie Griffith’s character Tess, in the movie “Working Girl”, Tess with its quilted collar top and front laces makes climbing the corporate ladder a whole lot prettier, and transitions to cocktails on any continent with perfect ease. |

| While the Supra mainline styles always have that skate connection, both with a rider and in terms of design and technology, the Non-Signature part of the collection takes a more lifestyle oriented approach. Silhouettes are slimmer, less padded and colors, as well as materials are also different. We are not sure yet, whether we should be excited about this development, for now something seems off with these styles, especially when brighter and more unusual colors are being used on them. |
Supra made a big splash a year ago, offering up an alternative style to the everyday skate shoe with the super-high tongues and ankle cuts. The upcoming Fall 2010 Collection is not too shabby either.
The brand puts out a strong offering from their heavy hitters, including the Skytop, Skytop II and Society, as well as their up and coming low top styles. A favorite of mine is the Bullet this season, which has a good balance in terms of design and colors. Let’s preview some models included in the collection. |
| Bandit features a skate funtional “boot-inspired” midtop design, new lightweight cupsole and SupraFoam® midsole providing entire foot impact resistance, optimal shoe flex, and board feel. Made from suede and canvas Bandit is available in four colors. |
| Another offer is Skytop that has vulcanized gum rubber outsole, extra heel protection molded into a comfortable high memory polyurethane insole. Full-length midsole is injected with SupraFoam® providing entire foot impact resistance, optimal shoe flex and board feel. The hoe also sports thin soft collar and tongue foam. |
| And my favorite offer is Bullet. This low style sports shoe is perfect for young, confident and active men who love to stand out and be the first. Bullet features functional classic skate design and sports lightweight cupsole and signature SupraFoam® midsole. |
| If you like sports shoes, Supra Fall 2010 Collection is ideal for you. |

| Everybody who watched American reality show Project Runway perfectly know the name of a young and talented fashion designer Christian Siriano. Cristiano was the winner of the fourth season and is the show’s youngest winner. |
| But in spite of his youth, Cristiano’s works are eye catching and intriguing. Now I will show you a vivid example of this genius. Recently the designer presented a new collection for Fall – Winter 2010/11. |
| The collection intitled Payless was presented at the runway. Celebs sitting front row included Amber Rose wearing his Spring 2010 collection and Mena Suvari.By the way, you can see both Amber Rose and Cristian Siriano in the picture above. |
| Known for his unique and edgy designs, Christian Siriano’s Fall 2010 collection for Payless confirmed that the designer has a right to be shown at runway shows and be included in the list of the most popular young designers. His modernized take on 1960s European women – Parisian in particular, and 18th and 19th century antique furniture, is sure to make heads turn. |
| The shoes in the collection are designed to complement his ready to wear style and overall the collection is inspired by 1960s Parisian women and their daily practice of getting dressed. His shoes pull strong inspirations from antique furniture from the 18th and 19th century with its filigree and clawfoot detailing. |
| The collection includes pumps, platforms, sandals, ankle boots, boots and many other interesting shoes. The designer made an emphasis on heels that have intriguing décor and architectural shapes. The majority of shoes are made from snakeskin leather with zipper detailing or exquisite satin strips. |
| A focal design from the runway collection is the Rocaille style — a platform pump featuring a signature artisan heel reminiscent of a clawfoot. The collection is expected in Payless stores in September 2010. I like the way every shoe looks! |

| Today there are so many fashion designers that is has become almost impossible to keep track of all of them. As a rule we follow trends and collections of famous fathers of fashion forgetting about young and ambitious generation. |
| The Spring 2011 Runway show turned sights of the whole fashion public to a new name in the fashion industry – Jen Kao. The designer was born in Los Angeles, raised in Kansas City and based in New York. After finishing Parsons School of Design she went to work for some reputable designers. Later on she managed to launch her own label. |
The backstory for the Runway show involved girls wandering the desert in an altered state where they find the man of their dreams. At the background sounded Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game”.
Unlike the overwhelming majority of famous designers who are still creating skyscraper heels with architectural shapes that put fear into the hearts of professional runway models, the ’shoes’ paired with Jen Kao’s light, flowing outfits were breathtaking without adding even an inch of height to the models lucky enough to be wearing them. Simply speaking, the models walked barefoot. |
| I would call that a barefoot sandal concept. The girls wore hand needle tatted sandals with cotton thread in an original design inspired by an antique pattern with crocheted straps. The barefoot sandal concept is not new to Jen Kao. Some examples made of cotton thread and beads are available via the Internet. |
| If you asked me to describe the collection in a few words I would choose such adjectives as romantic, dreamy and soft. Is not that what the designer mean? |
| I can imagine the envy other models felt looking at barefoot girls who stepped along the stage with confidence. Comfort, chic, fresh ideas and strong attention to details – that is what makes Jen Keo stand out. |
