Sometimes such an everyday thing as a footwear can become a means of self-expression, display of creative approach. It becomes more and more fashionable among designers to create unusual and even shocking shoe. BTW, we have already discussed Funny Boots by Guiseppe Zanotti. Designers consider that any thing should have its own unique features and naturally stand out among similar ones. Below is a series of photos of the boldest models. |

Such boots are obviously made not to be used in everyday life. And it’s not due to its inconvenience (though this is one of the reasons) rather because it is not intended for wearing. Still doubt? Well, here it is. |

What unusual and sometimes even eccentric and startling shoes! Doubtlessly, not everyone is ready for such experiments. Though who knows, maybe it’s the fashion of the future. |
The Legendary Manolo Blahniks
The shoes created by this designer are always easily recognizable – they have a tapered toe, a spike heel and something really unique in terms of colors, fabrics or decoration. Manolo Blahnik has been creating shoes for over 30 years now, and has developed his own special style. Yet, the designer is not ready to follow the known trail and is still experimenting, seeking exclusiveness and art in every shoe pair.
Manolo Blahnik, who is half Spanish and half Czech, has graduated from a university in Geneva, then studied design in Paris and started developing his own shoe styles in Britain.
Initially the designer also tried himself in clothes design. However, when he showed his work to Diana Vreeland, a legendary editor-in-chief of the Vogue magazine, she advised him that he worked with the shoes only. In 1973 Manolo Blahnik opened his first boutique in London, which until today remains the favorite place where all the designer’s fans from the entire world like to purchase their shoes.
The most famous Manolo Blahnik shoe is a spiked heel pump.
Manolo Blahnik usually uses classical shapes as a basis for his shoes, then adding some unusual elements, painting them bright pink, for instance, or decorating the straps with small pompons.
For more casual designs, Manolo Blahnik prefers bright green crocodile skin, supplementing them with funny stings.
Sedara 1991 shoe is also incredibly popular among women. This shoe is a combination of black silk, purple sateen and a large brooch with sparkling stones.
Manolo Blahnik is the brand that is famous throughout the world. However, up until now the brand only has one designer – there has never been more. The man who created the brand continues doing the work all by himself.
Saying that Monolo Blahnik shoes are popular among the celebrities is saying nothing. Almost everyone on the famous horizon has at least a couple in their possession. But of course the most famous fan of the shoe is Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex and the City, whose fascination with Manolo Blahnik almost turned the shoe into another character on the show.
Ugg Brand Boots: Not All UGGs Are Ugh
I believe that today people all over the world have contradictory opinions about Ugg Australia unique boots. Nobody has settled opinion whether these boots are really ‘ugh’ or whether they are achingly beautiful and outrageously original. Even the name of the brand - ‘UGG’ means ‘ugly’, which encourages a lot of heated but still useless discussions as nether of the party can go and nail its flag to the mast.
Do you know anybody, I mean any woman, who doesn’t want to look stylish and to receive lots of compliments on her appearance. But how can avid fashionista venture to put on the boots from UGG Australia when the name of the brand associates with something ugly?!!
But anyway I think it is only the matter of personality, I mean that independent thinkers and comfort seekers won’t take into account prejudice and will prefer to become the trendsetters instead of trend followers. They will agree that UGGs are not ugh at all – their name is just a cunning trick of Ugg Ausralia company to attract attention to their product. And the company has succeeded to do this because, what concerns popularity, UGGs run circles among other winter boots.
Of course, I don’t insist that all UGGs are achignly beautiful as there are some styles that are quite run-of-the-mill. But overall, there is some charming appeal in UGGs. Many celebrities have already fallen in love with the UGGs that are no way ugh. =) May be ‘Ughs’ have won their hearts thanks to the incredible comfort they provide. Claudia Schiffer , Eva Longoria, Beyonce Knowles, Paris Hilton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sienna Miller, Britney Spears and Kate Moss are among those who have been noted with these ‘ugly’ boots gracing their elegant feet on.
FYI, Uggs were at first devised by aboriginals in Australia to keep their feet warm. And since then for comfort and warmth these boots have been hard to beat. At the same time Uggs easily pick up moisture in warmer weather thanks to the sheepskin they are made of. Come on, don’t be steeped in prejudice, give ‘Ughs” a try! =)
