How to Choose the Right Men’s Shoes

How to Choose the Right Mens ShoesAmong a number of groundless stereotypes existing in this world there is one, that concerns shoes, and in particular – shoes and sexes. This ludicrous and insulting stereotype suggests, that all women care about their shoes – and that all men never do.

Quite on the contrary, now one can easily find guys, that have huge shoes wardrobes and who try to match shoes and clothes (besides, there still are women, that con not even articulate, which trend is in in shoes fashion this season!)

If we forget about gender gap, we’ll see, that some of us see shoes as practical necessities, and others have a shoe obsession. However, the majority of people all over the world’ probably, match the middle of the scale. Despite this, many men feel quite uncomfortable when facing a variety of styles in men’s shoes. Some of them get used to one type of shoes (for example, work-type boots) and remain in this style forever. Others even avoid certain clothes, or attending events because sneakers were not appropriate there.

Mainly this happens not due to the disdain for other types of shoes, but to a lack of confidence when it comes to choosing casual shoes. That is why we are happy to present you General Rules for Men’s Shoes, that will help you to avoid problems when choosing between types of shoes.

- Choose shoes that match your pants or are a tone darker, than they.

- Remember, that shoes do not need to be a match with your socks. Socks function as a tie – this is a small item, that bring the whole image together.

- Try to match your shoes to your belt, if you are wearing one (of course, this is not a good idea, if you wear a multy-coloured striped belt or something like that).

Speaking about jeans, you can wear the shoes of almost every style or colour, but be sure, the shoes are not to shiny – that they do not look like they were mend fro a more classical suit.

- Boots, lug soles, sneakers, loafers and sandals look gorgeous with jeans, but for you not to loose your head in this vortex of choice, make your choice oriented at your shirt. If you are wearing a sporty polo-shirt, loafers will look great, for T-shirs choose sneakers or retro-style shoes. Long, artsy button-downs work well with sandals or moc toe oxford styles.

- As one of the critics said, “whether you call them Dockers, chinos, or khakis, there are a variety of loafers, oxford and other men’s shoes that work well with casual pants.”

- The ornamentation and style of your shoes must lead your image. For example, a tassle or a buckle is a little more on the dressy side, while a woven pattern or heavy stitching is a little more on the casual side.

- If you choose shoes for dress pants, wear a pair you would like to wear with a suit. Shiny material shows, the shoes are quite dressy, as well as bulky heels and soles.

- There are also special rules of colour matching of your shoes with other clothes. For example:

Black shoes will do with navy, grey or black tones.

Brown shoes pass to tan, brown, beige, greens, other darker earth colours.

Burgundy shoes work well with khaki, lighter browns, blue and grey.

Tan shoes will look good with lighter earth colours, as well as blue, beige, lighter tan or white.

The Biggest Pair Of Shoes Was Created On The Philippines

The Biggest Pair Of Shoes Was Created On The PhilippinesThe biggest pair of shoes was created on the Philippines on October 28, 2002. The length of each boot comprises 5.5 meters, the width is 2.25 meters and the height of each boot is 1.83 meters. A 37.5 meter high giant could have worn this pair of shoes.

The masterpiece of shoe production was carefully thought of and created by a group of 10 masters from the city of MARIKINA – the shoe capital of the Philippines. Today the pair, the price of which is estimated to be of 2 million peso (37411 dollars), is exhibited in the shoe museum of MARIKINA. It took the masters 77 days to create the shoes. The upper part of them was made of 30 square meters of Cordoba leather, and the insole, sole and welt demanded correspondingly 250, 280 and 80 kilos of plant tanned leather. The masters from MARIKINA also needed 225 kilograms of clue and a kilometer of threads! From this huge amount of materials one could have manufactured 250 shoes pairs of average size.

Giant boots have all chances to be included into the Guinness Record Book – for today the pair, that holds the record, is only 3.12 meters long.

Shoe shopping - treatment or illness?

Shoe shopping - treatment or illness? Many of us are absolutely sure, that the best treatment against depression is shopping. However, this point of view has recently been disproved by the British scientists.

The sociologists of Great Britain counted during a research session, that an average British woman spends 55 thousand dollars on her shoes, and during her life 27 thousand dollars are spent on the bags. The majority of British women have not less than 17 bags, and those, who consider themselves to be bag-lovers, have about 25 purses. 92% of women nearly suffer from shopaholia, and 75% of all the money spent by the shopaholics is spent on shoes and accessories. The majority of the British women are ready to buy at least one new pair of shoes a month, with an average price of 70 dollars. They are sure, that doing this not only helps them to look more fashionable, but also cures their depression.

Still the scientists do not agree with the shopaholics and ask them not to mix up a reason with the consequences. Or, better, an illness and treatment. The fact is, that when we are in a bad mood, we are really prone to buying, and buying a lot. But in many women shopping in the time of depression also causes extra negative reactions – in particular, the lowered sense of self-assurance and dignity. A team of scientists from Essex carried out a research, during which 44% of the questioned stated, they felt badly after shopping, and 50% of the people said, that the tension only strengthened.

In the end the scientists made a conclusion: in 22% of cases shopping in the time of depression worsens the depressed state of a person, that is why the spent money does not bring any satisfaction. That is why, for you not to spend your money in vain and not to become even more depressed, scientists advice to “get healed” with the help of fresh air and walking or jogging.
