Two Pairs In A One

All the inventions, for example, the invention of a wheel or of a spaceship, were not done in vain. Great scientists strived to make the lives of people better and easier. The world of fashion also sometimes experiences the times of inventions, though they do not happen very often.

For example, high-heel shoes, designed by a young designer Marte den Hollander as a diploma project, appeared to be such an invention. That fact is, that the designer tried to accomplish an interesting, but difficult task – to combine the advantages of both high and low heels in one pair of shoes.

Two Pairs In A One

Such transformation appeared to be possible due to the modifying construction of a heel. One can wear such shoes in two ways – you can either choose high heels, or take the heel off and hide it in a special compartment, and after that the model will turn into a more convenient and casual type of shoes.

What is more, the change in the heel height also influences the sole curve. The sole is produced in the way to adapt to the heel transformations, so it is flexible to changes.

Two Pairs In A One

This model by Marte den Hollander seems to be a serious invention in the world of fashion, because after buying a pair of shoes you will actually get two pairs of different purposes. You won’t have to worry about your feet being tired after a long walk, and you won’t have to take an extra pair of shoes with you.

Designer Sandals: Do We Need Them

This pair by Dolce&Gabbana looks really cute and stylish. Two pieces of polished leather and a nice price - of $550?! Oh, yeah. The cost price of this pair varies between 12 and 15 bucks, and even if the price will be mulyiplied ten times because of the famous brand, it is still $150, but not $550…

Or let us take these wonderful sandals by Christian Dior. Two thin leather belts and a sole - and that’s it. So, where does the surprising price of $490 comes from? Taking into consideration, that th cost price here is even lower, than in the first case - $10. Let’s multiply it ten times to make up for the popular brand - and we get $100. What is more, who on Earth will ever look at your sole just to fing the huge Dior logo there?

Designer Sandals: Do We Need Them

Today one can find an elite brand Melissa in many shoe shops. Do you know anything about them? we still do not. Nevertheless, this is a fine example of making money from air, or, to be precise, from plastic. This is what these sandals are made of. Absolutely no leather - only plastic and fumed sole. Do you think this makes them even a dime cheaper? Here you are - you’re asked to pay $150 for the sandals, in which a $2-worth amount of plastic is used.

Please, do not misunderstand us. we do love beautiful footwear, and we do understand the desire to purchase really unique and luxurious models. But one should distinguis between bargains and senseless purchases - by the way, there is always a way to find something of good quality and apt price. for example, Steve Madden offers natural leather sandals, and only for $50 a pair.
