Fashionable childhood: American designers have launched stiletto shoes for babies!
American designers have launched a huge lot of high stilettos, designed especially for babies. The tiny stilettos are called Heelarious and are aimed at little kids from 0 to 6 months of age. The shoes are brightly oink, with black leopard and tiger patterns.
The creators of the unique shoes, whose names are Britta Backon and Heiden Porter, say, that the heels of the shoes have mainly a “show-off” function: if you try to press them a little or stand on them, they will be broken in a second.
According to Britta Backon’s words, the idea to create such shoes came to her mind while celebrating the forth birthday of her daughter. “I thought, it would be amazing, if Keila, my daughter, could have high-heeled stilettos on, when she was a baby”- says the designer.
A pair of these extravagant shoes costs 35 dollars. The shoes are available in 6 different models, and the models appear to be named after the 6 kids of the inventor. Baby stilettos can be purchased in more than 50 retailing spots in the USA, Canada and Switzerland. What is more, they can be acquired through the Internet.
Stylish driving: stiletto shoes for drivers!
A British company named Sheilas’ Wheels has created special shoes for women drivers, called Sheila Driving Heel. The shoes immediately transform from stilletto shoes to the comfortable driving shoes, that are very useful and cosy, when you’re at a steering wheel.
The gimmick is not only in the heel itself, that hides in a sole slot, but also in the change of the sole itself. When transformed, the shoes resemble flat pumps, that are very comfortable for pressing the pedals of the car. However, when transformed back, these shoes become stylish stilettos.
It’s interesting to know, that Sheilas’ Wheels in actually not a shoe making company, but an insurance company, created especially for female drivers. However, not only the insurance itself, but also the development of car accessories is in the company’s scope.
Sheilas’ Wheels presents us with the statistics: 10% of female drivers acknowledge, they had an accident or were on the brink of an accident because of the problems with their shoes and the pedals; along with this 80% of women do not change the stylish shoes to more comfortable ones, when they sit at the wheel, so they prefer luxury to safety. Some simply wear equally comfortable shoes both in the car and out of it. And finally only 17% have a pair of special “driving shoes” in their car.

Italian supercar producer Lamborghini launched a line of original women’s shoes. The designer, whose name is Tim Coopers, created for the automobile brand a computer model of women’s shoes, that resemble Lamborghini Gallardo Supeleggera car.
Lamborghini shoes are hand-made from the most expensive leather, and carbon is used for the heels. The photo shows, that the shoes even have headlights and the Lamborghini logo placed on them. The first model of the shoes that will be launched in limited edition, is white-coloured and decorated in Lamborghini Gallardo car style. The shoes are promised to be available in the shops in spring-2009.
